How a Cold Chamber Die Casting Machine Works:

1. Melting the Metal - The metal is melted in a separate furnace outside the machine.

2. Transferring Molten Metal - A ladle pours the molten metal into the cold chamber (a cylindrical sleeve).

3. Injection - A hydraulically powered plunger forces the metal into the die cavity at high pressure (typically 2,000 to 20,000 psi).

4. Cooling & Solidification - The metal cools and solidifies inside the die.

5. Ejection - The die opens, and ejector pins push out the finished casting.

6. Trimming & Finishing - Excess material (flash, and runners) is removed
