Flying saucer injection molding machine Flying Disc making machine
Polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) are the main materials, and Frisbee initially used polyethylene and later switched to polypropylene.
At the same time, PE and PP have different characteristics, such as PE is more durable, while PP is harder but less costly.
The injection molding process, including raw material preparation, plasticization, injection, packing, cooling, and demoulding.
In addition, specific process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and time are provided that need to be linked to the production of frisbees.
Indicating that different materials (e.g. PE and PP) may require different temperature settings, such as PP may require higher temperatures.
Raw material treatment: PE/PP needs to be dried at 70~100°C for 3 hours to avoid bubbles caused by moisture.
Plasticizing and injection: The barrel temperature of PE is usually 160~220°C, and that of PP is 200~260°C.
The injection pressure is controlled at 50~150MPa to ensure that the melt is fully filled.
Holding pressure and cooling:
The PE holding pressure is 40%~50% of the injection pressure, and the holding time of PP needs to be extended to compensate for shrinkage.
Demoulding and post-processing:
The cooling time of the frisbee is about 10~20 seconds, and the gate needs to be trimmed and the edge burrs should be polished after demolding.
We are prefessional production base specialized in designing and manufacturing plastic injection machines and enjoy high reputation in the Plastic machinery industry.
