Switch socket manufacture process with below five main process:
1. Determine the type
The designer have to determine the light switch, wall switch, plug in wall lamp and lamp socket details like shape, dimension, weight and any features.
2. Select the suitable raw material
Plastics have excellent insulation properties and are easy to shape, making them widely used in the manufacturing of electrical light switch, wall switch, plug in wall lamp and lamp socket. Commonly used plastics include polycarbonate, ABS and polypropylene.
- Polycarbonate has high impact resistance and transparency, making it suitable for light switch, light switch covers, 7 way trailer plug and buttons etc.
- ABS - is a common plastic material that is economical and meets the needs of general environments. ABS has toughness and durability, and can be used for switch housings like light switch covers, light switch plate and wall switch etc.
- Polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride are widely used due to their chemical corrosion resistance and high cost-effectiveness. It mainly produces light switches, 3 way light switch, light switch cover.
3. Design the mould
According to the determined light switch, wall switch, plug in wall lamp and lamp socket drawing or samples, the customer required production capacity then to calculate how many cavities need to be designed.
4. Switch socket injection moulding process
Switch socket injection moulding process is producing plastic products by inserting the plastic granules, raw polymer resin granules are melted into a liquid and injected into a mold, where the plastic takes the desired shape. heating them, cooling them and finally giving the shape and size of the required plastic products. It is the rapid method of producing a large number of plastic products with high precision.
5. Assembly and finishing
Once the light switch socket and any necessary metal parts have been fabricated, the switch can be assembled. The metal parts are inserted into the housing and the light switch covers are wired and tested to ensure proper operation.
