Cold die casting machine
Melting the Metal - The metal is melted in a separate furnace outside the machine.
Transferring Molten Metal - A ladle pours the molten metal into the cold chamber (a cylindrical sleeve).
Injection - A hydraulically powered plunger forces the metal into the die cavity at high pressure (typically 2,000 to 20,000 psi).
Cooling & Solidification - The metal cools and solidifies inside the die.
Ejection - The die opens, and ejector pins push out the finished casting.
Trimming & Finishing - Excess material (flash, and runners) is removed.
