Plastic preform injection molding machine is an injection molding equipment specially designed for the production of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) preforms.
The preform is an intermediate in the blow molding process, which can be made into end products such as beverage bottles, cosmetic bottles, and pharmaceutical bottles through subsequent heating stretch blow molding.

Working principle and process flow Raw material pretreatment PET pellets need to be dehumidified and dried by a vacuum suction system, and the temperature is controlled at 160-180°C to ensure that the moisture content of the material is less than 0.005%.
Melting & Injection Molding The dried raw material is heated to 250-275°C in the injection molding machine and injected into the mold cavity at high pressure (e.g. 207.8 MPa) through a screw or plunger.
The melt is cooled and shaped to form a preform with a cycle time of up to 7.4 seconds (e.g. 192 cavities).
Post-processing and automation Water shearing:
After injection molding, the preform needs to cut off the tail nozzle, which traditionally relies on manual labor, and is now fully automated through the manipulator water shearing machine to improve efficiency.
Cooling and inspection:
Circulating cooling water is used to quickly cool down, combined with visual inspection system to reject defective products.
